Sierra Nevada

A big part of Alpujarra is included in Sierra Nevada Natural and National reserve. A Big part of both reserves were declared UNESCO Biosphere reserve in 1999.

In Sierra Nevada we can find the highest peak of the Iberian Peninsula (Mulhacen 3480m).Sierra Nevada is one of the southern ski resorts in the north hemisphere, it is considered one of the best ski stations in Europe due to its climate. So, during winter and spring people can enjoy a day of skiing.
